 Baxter in Crimson Red

CONCEPT: Choose 5 styles for the free home trial.  You get 5 days to try them on. Return them for free and then make your order online with your prescription.

SERVICE: You really feel valued when dealing with OW! Okay so I ordered my first pair of glasses - the Darwins.  After a few days with them, I felt that they were touching my cheeks a little too much (I'm asian and I have a flat nose bridge alright!) Emailed them at night and got a reply first thing in the morning with a postage paid label for an exchange.  Easy. Also, kudos to them for replying (only within a few hours) to the @OscarWylee tag on Instagram when people post their selfies asking for opinions.

PRICE: $98 optical glasses with prescription lenses.  You can claim it back from your health fund too!

STRATEGY: I would like to shake the hand of the genius who came up with FREE HOME TRIAL and integrating social media interactions in shopping process.  I love this shift away from the average online shop where you purchase things in hope that it fits.  Not only has #OscarWylee really embraced the 'try before you buy' concept, they have found a way to use social media to reach the market quickly and effectively.  Online retail is really starting to think outside the square here and I think this will be a real substitute to getting glasses at my normal optometrist.

Have fun trying them out & tag me on instagram @honeyhype when you have some selfies up! http://www.oscarwylee.com.au/

  1. Nice frames. They look much like the frames from Warby Parker in the US. Launched in 2010. Their mission for every pair they sell, they give a pair to someone in need. Warby Parker's frames are $95. Has the In-Home Try Before You Buy.
